If I have a dining reservation for 2, will they let me add a 3rd person the day of the reservation?

    Greetings, Cheryl!

Welcome back to planDisney! I am delighted to hear that you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort. Dining in the Most Magical Place on Earth is one of my favorite things about a Disney vacation. There are so many options for every pallet, whether you are a foodie or a fan of all things simple and tasty. I am absolutely convinced that the best french fries are exclusive to Disney!

Adding an extra Guest to your upcoming dining reservation must mean your travel party has grown. How exciting! Sharing a trip with family and friends is a great way to create lifelong memories you will all cherish. Dining reservations can accommodate the number of Guests on the original booking. A table for two may not be able to seat three depending on the location. The best option for this situation is to try and modify your current reservation to include three people. You can check availability by selecting your dining reservation in My Disney Experience. Your current reservations can be found on the My Plans option of the My Disney Experience drop-down menu on the Walt Disney World website or under Future plans on the mobile app. Click on the reservation you want to add the additional Guest to and choose the modify option. Increase your party size to three and check the availability. If a time that can accommodate three is open, select the option and proceed to save your changes. If no options are available, your current reservation will not be changed. I recommend checking regularly, as plans change often and reservations get canceled. If you are unable to add the Guest before the reservation, you can always ask a Cast Member when checking in to the restaurant. I do want to mention that there is no guarantee that they will be able to add a third Guest. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that you will be able to modify your dining experience before you arrive!

And speaking of reservations, I do want to mention that all four theme parks require a Disney Park Pass in addition to a valid theme park ticket. You can make these reservations online in just a few moments. This is an amazing time to visit Walt Disney World, and some dates fill up quickly. If you have your tickets don't delay. Make your theme park reservations right away!

I hope that your upcoming trip is memorable and magical!
    We'll see ya real soon!
