We have dining res at WCC at 7:25pm and then a holiday sleigh ride at 10pm. Want enough time to enjoy our meal without rushing and get to the sleigh ride on time, but don't want too much time after dinner w/ nothing to do. Should we change time or not?

    Hi there Michelle,

My oh my!  Sounds like you have planned an evening that is sure to get the whole family into the Spirit of the Season!  The Wilderness Lodge decorations are so beautiful and Whispering Canyon Cafe is the perfect place to fill your tummies before a magical sleigh ride at Fort WIlderness.

I think you've timed your dinner just right, as you'll want plenty of time to travel, uncrushed over to Fort WIlderness because there are many sights to see along the way!  If you wrap up dinner around 8:30, you should definitely plan to take a few moments to explore the vast Wilderness Lodge Lobby where you'll be able to capture some beautiful photos in front of the ginormous Christmas Tree and roaring fireplace!

Afterwards, make your way out to the Marina where you'll hop aboard the water taxi for a relaxing 10 minute boat ride to Fort Wilderness!  If you arrive early, you can pay a visit to the Trading Post or partake in a game of checkers on the porch of Crockett's Tavern.  You may even have the chance to catch a glimpse of the Electrical Water Pageant as it makes its way past the Fort WIlderness Beach at around 9:30 each evening!

If it were me, I would leave the reservation the same!  You definitely won't want to feel rushed and with a dinner time of 7:25, you'll have just enough time to leisurely make your way over to Fort WIlderness!

    Best Wishes,
