What dining recommendations do you have for us? DH, me, DSD (15) DS1 (5) DS2 (almost 3). So far I'm thinking Pizza Planet, Coral Reef, BoG, Crystal Palace, H&V, and Tusker House. Are HDDR or Spirit of Aloha dinner show worth it for preschool boys?

Hello Gwen.  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I am glad to see that you are already thinking about where to dine while you are on vacation at Walt Disney World.  Dining reservation open up 180 days in advance and the best places fill up fast.

I really like some of the dining options you have picked.  Tusker House is one of my favorite spots for breakfast!  Make sure to try the cheese blintzes with strawberry compote...delish!  If you get a reservation for 10:30 a.m. you will be able to enjoy food from both the breakfast buffet and the lunch buffet.  We love doing that, it is like getting two meals for the price of one!

My favorite meal isn't on your list yet.  We love dining at 'Ohana for dinner at Disney's Polynesian Resort.  It is an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal served right to your table.  The food is incredible.  The main offerings are chicken, pork, shrimp and steak cooked on a wood fire grill in the middle of the restaurant.  There is also dining room entertainment.  Kids and adults can enjoy the limbo, hula dancing and coconut races.  It is just such a fun place.  We love to make a reservation one hour before the fireworks begin over Magic Kingdom.  About the time we are enjoying dessert the lights dim and music from the show gets piped into the restaurant.  It is a great view of the fireworks and a terrific meal.  It is our perfect night at Walt Disney World.

If you are interested in a dinner show I recommend the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.  It is great for all ages.  It's loud and funny with lots of singing and dancing.  The food is down home cookin' that everyone seems to really enjoy.  Out of the two dinner shows, this is the one I enjoy the most.  I think with children the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is the way to go.

Enjoy your vacation and happy eating!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
