Dining Pros! If you have a child under the age of 3, do they have to pay for a character dinner. We will not be doing the dining plan.

    Hi Sarah:

Thanks for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I am happy to tell you that children under the age of three are able to share from an adults plate at no additional cost at any dining location.  So if you are fine with splitting your meal with your toddler, you will not have to pay for your toddlers meal.  At buffet locations your toddler is free to eat whatever he or she would like from the buffet at no additional cost.

If you would like your toddler to have a kids meal, you will have to purchase this.  I have found that kids meals are very reasonably priced, and when my daughter was younger I typically would purchase a meal for her just to keep both of us happy.  She could enjoy what she wanted to eat, and I could enjoy an adult meal as well.

I hope you have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort Sarah.  Please let me know if you have any other questions, I would be happy to help.
