I have 2 dining plans and transfer hotels. The day I transfer credits are good until midnight. New hotel credits are available to use at 8am. If I'm paying with credits will they automatically use the ones that expire at midnight or do I have to specify?

    Hey Amberly-

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Splits stay at Walt Disney World Resort hotels are double the fun and double the pleasure. I am so excited for my split stay in October!

Since you are staying at two different Walt Disney World Resort hotels, you will need to purchase a dining plan for each. You will also receive a MagicBand for each hotel. Resort A MagicBand will link to Disney Dining Plan A and Resort B MagicBand will link with Disney Dining Plan B. Disney Dining Plan A will expire at midnight of Resort A check-out day while Disney Dining Plan B will start at 8:00 a.m. on the same day provided that check-in day of Resort B is check-out day of Resort A.

With your Disney Dining Plan you have two options to make sure you do not lose any meal entitlements. Option 1 is to keep the MagicBands separate until you have used all meal entitlements for Disney Dining Plan A. Yes, this means you may have to carry both around if you plan on going into the theme parks for a meal that day. Option 2 is to ask the concierge or front desk Cast Member of the Resort B hotel to allow your MagicBand A or B to link all remaining meal entitlements of Disney Dining Plan A and the new Disney Dining Plan B. Since there should only be a few meals left (if any) and the fact they expire at midnight, Cast Members are happy to combine the two. This cannot be done for the whole trip and may only occur on coincident check-out/check-in days.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help make your trip more enjoyable.

Enjoy making (and eating) many Magical Memories!
