will the dining plans return by February 20221

Hey there, Elizabeth! I'm so glad you've stopped by planDisney with your question.

The Disney Dining Plan is such a fan favorite when visiting Walt Disney World. I know that my family and I have used it many times and it really does save money. It's so nice to order the most expensive item on the menu and not even bat an eye at it because it is already paid for. It really adds to the level of excitement of a Walt Disney World vacation.

Elizabeth, Walt Disney World knows just how passionate Guests like you and I are about the Disney Dining Plan returning. A few weeks ago, the Disney Parks Blog released an article talking about how they've heard us and wanted us to rest assured that the Disney Dining Plan will most definitely be back. They just aren't sure of a return date quite yet. With that being said, I don't think we will see the Disney Dining Plan return until most, if not all, of the Walt Disney World restaurants are reopened. We are returning to a world of magic more and more these days so I don't think we will have to wait too much longer. If you book your Walt Disney World vacation package before the Disney Dining Plan is released and it becomes available for your vacation dates, I am sure you'll be able to add it on to your existing package. Before the shutdown, Guests had up to 48 hours prior to their check-in date to add it on and I am certain it will look similar to this when it returns.

I'm sorry I don't have an exact date for you right now, Elizabeth, but be sure to keep an eye out over on the Disney Parks Blog for further updates. If you have any other questions while you are planning your Walt Disney World vacation, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help.

    Have fun and happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
