Hi Daniar,
Welcome to planDisney! I am so happy to see you planning well in advance for a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
The good news is that we received word that there are
plans to bring Disney Dining Plans back. We do not yet know the exact date. Given that your trip is next year, I am hopeful that they will be back by the time you travel. Stay tuned to the
operational updates, especially the
dining updates as additional details are released.
I do hope you have booked a
vacation package already. If not, do so as soon as possible, then
link that vacation package to your
My Disney Experience account. After you link it, you should be able to make
Disney Park Pass system reservations. As you continue to plan, periodically check the
theme park reservation availability calendar. If you need to cancel park pass reservations and make new ones, check the availability calendar first.
As you continue to consider the
Disney Dining Plans, I suggest that you identify the dining locations you plan to visit for each meal. If you check the websites of each location and click on View Menu, you should be able to see the prices for each location. I use these prices to estimate our food costs without a dining plan. Don't forget to calculate costs for drinks (which may not be included in your meal) and snacks. Then, when dining plans are offered again, you can compare the price of a dining plan to your food cost estimate without a dining plan.
My family previously did the Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. We loved the Deluxe Dining Plan because it allowed us to do a few signature meals. Although I am not sure if there will be modifications made to the dining plans, I will reiterate that the cost savings for your party will depend on your dining patterns. So, do that dining cost estimate before the dining plan prices are released!
Happy planning!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
