Hey there, Kendra! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for serving up this delicious Disney dining plan question!
My family loves using the
Disney Dining Plan because it helps us plan out our snacks and dining strategy. We keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog to see what new foods will be available during our stay and designate our dining credits accordingly. Spreadsheets may or may not be involved.
There are two types of Walt Disney World dining plans. The standard Disney Dining Plan includes table service, quick-service, and snack credits, while the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan includes just quick-service and snack credits. Both dining plans are only available to guests who have purchased a Disney vacation package, which includes theme park tickets and a resort hotel reservation. There is no dining plan available to guests staying at non-Disney hotels.
If you would like to change your plans to include a Walt Disney World hotel reservation and Disney Dining Plan, you can change your plans in the “My Plans” section in My Disney Experience. You can also speak to a helpful Cast Member on the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and Tickets line.
Since you’re thinking about food for your upcoming Walt Disney World adventure, here are my table service and quick service recommendations for each theme park. Be careful! These hot takes are spicy!
