Hi Wendy, welcome to planDisney!
Walt Disney World Resort's
50th Anniversary Celebration continues through March, which means you'll arrive just in time to catch the
Beacons of Magic shining and the
Fab 50 character statues smiling. Put the exclamation point on a Magic Kingdom Park day with a viewing of
Disney Enchantment. This incredible nighttime spectacular leaves me feeling empowered and motivated to be the good I want to see in the world.
The
Disney Parks Blog has shared some pretty big announcements this year.
March 31 brought news that character hugs and autographs were returning to Walt Disney World Resort in April. On
May 17 we learned that Harmony Barber Shop in Magic Kingdom Park is reopening at the end of July. A royal proclamation posted on
June 28 let us know Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Magic Kingdom Park will be reopening on August 25. We're still waiting on an announcement about the return of dining plans, but
last June we were told that Disney is planning to bring back dining plan packages "at a later date." I recommend keeping your eyes and [Minnie] ears on the Disney Parks Blog for further updates.
My family has many magical food and fellowship memories connected to the Disney dining plan. Until its return, we're trying to experience new-to-us dining adventures that we would not typically enjoy if we were on a dining plan. For example, the
Foodie Guide to the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival looks like lunch and dinner for our upcoming EPCOT day! I'm also looking forward to Category 1 seating at the newly reopened
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at the Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.
Rest assured you will not go hungry during your vacation, Wendy. If you're hungry for more answers, that's our specialty here at planDisney. Hope to see ya' real soon!
Choose magic,
Jennifer
