Is the dining plan worth the money?

Kelly, that's a great question!  Whether or not the dining plan is worth the money is totally dependent on your family.  If your family is one that likes to grab a quick bite on the run or eats really light meals, then I would say you are better off staying away from the dining plan.

I can tell you that the dining plan is ideal for my family.  I have three children who are by no means picky eaters.  We love character dining and other unique table service restaurants like Whispering Canyon Cafe, but these restaurants can be expensive.  The dining plan gives us the freedom to have a character dining experience everyday if that's what we choose.  We end up saving money, and the best part is that everything (except gratuity and alcoholic beverages) is paid for before in advance.  Quick service meals offer quite a wide selection, and there is always plenty of food for our family.  The snacks available are also varied and offered at several locations.

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
