We have dining plan for our visit in July and want to know about making reservations for narcoosees on our final night. Do we have to give credit card details to reserve or pre pay even though we have ddp?? Thanks

    Clare:

When making a reservation for Narcoosee's (or most any other table service restaurant at Walt Disney World), you have to give a credit card to hold your reservation. Your credit card will not be charged. It is only there in case you do not show and then your card is charge $10 per person on the reservation. You don't have to pay for this particular restaurant in advance.

Even though I've eaten at over 75 restaurants on Disney property, I only ate at Narcoossee's for the first time last week, and I have to say it was fabulous: from the food, to the attentive service, atmosphere and view of the fireworks. Let me recommend that you make the most of your Dining Plan credits and order the two-pound lobster or the surf-and-turf. But if you don't feel the need to squeeze all the value out, my tuna was superb as was the grouper and scallops that the others in my party enjoyed. I splurged on the lobster bisque which had a hint of sherry and the table shared the calamari that was cooked perfectly along with the crab cake as appetizers.

Don't feel like you have to book your dining reservation "perfectly" to enjoy the fireworks during your dinner. At our server's recommendation, we got up from the table and watched from the balcony. We could have easily done this before or after dinner. It is now one of our favorite dining experiences at Disney and hope you'll find the same.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
