Hi Jenni,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! The
Disney Dining Plans have always worked well for our family!
The dining plan entitlements are calculated per night of stay. So, if you are staying seven nights, each person in your party 3-years old and older on the Disney Dining Plan would receive seven quick-service meals, seven table-service meals and 14 snacks as you have indicated. When you check-in to the resort, all of your meal and snack entitlements will be loaded onto your account so you can use them in whatever order you choose.
We typically use one table-service meal entitlement on the day we arrive, one quick-service meal entitlement on the day we depart and the rest of our entitlements on the days in between. On our arrival day we rarely use any snack credits. If we have snack credits remaining on the day we depart, we take those with us. Other than smoothies, we rarely use our snack credits for drinks. Instead, we take water bottles into the parks and use those snack credits for frozen treats. Since we tend to visit in July, we rely on frozen treats to help us get through the sweltering heat!
When you plan your
advanced dining reservations, also check the number of meal entitlements required at each restaurant. To do so, click on the restaurant's home page. From there, click on the link that says "Some Dining Plans Accepted." Once you click on that link, a pop-up chart should appear that shows the number of meal entitlements required on a dining plan if dining plans are accepted at that location.
Jenni, be sure to
track your meal plan entitlements as you go!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
