Hiya Robin,
Welcome to planDisney! If there is one aspect of my planning that I take most seriously, it is dining. My Prince Charming and I keep a running list of what and where we want to eat on each trip in our fridge, just because we love Disney dining so much.
But enough about me, let’s talk about the
dining plan! We tend to do a lot more table-service dining than quick-service, so we had a similar question when we first booked the Disney Dining Plan. In years past, Guests could exchange credits for different meal types, but since the dining plans returned in 2024, that option is no longer available. Quick service credits can only be used for quick service meals, and snack credits can only be used for snacks.
I hope this was helpful, Robin. Before I let you go, I did want to share one of my tips for credits. Dining plan credits can be used up until midnight the day you check out of your resort hotel. Since we tend to have leftover quick-service credits on our last day (and sometimes snacks), we like to reserve the final day of our trip as our splurge day. We grab our plastic containers/ plastic bags, and
Mobile Order quick-service meals and snacks to use up all remaining credits. We then take those back home with us to enjoy on our journey home, so we don’t leave any credits behind. Plus, it has the added benefit of bringing some magic home with us. If there is anything else you need, including more tips on how best to use the dining plans, please come back and see
us. We would be happy to help you!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
