    With the dining plan can you trade your counter service dessert for anything? Such as an extra bottled drink, or a pre--packaged dessert.

    With the Disney Dining Plan, I have never had much luck swapping items - but the Quick Service dessert seems to be one of those things that they are sometimes a bit more flexible on.  There are pre-packaged desserts if you want to grab it "to go."  As far as switching to another type of item, my best answer is "It depends!" 

    At Disney, I live by the rule that it never hurts to ask, so simply approach a Cast Member and ask what your options are.  At a resort food court, I was recently allowed to use a pre-packaged salad from the refrigerated section as my dessert.  I have also been allowed to get a small bottle of water as my dessert. 

    Be direct with your question such as "I do not want the dessert with my Quick Service credit.  May I choose the salad?"  Hey, the worst thing they say is "no."  A different location may be more flexible so do not be afraid to ask.  On the flip side, please be kind whatever the answer as Cast Members are just following the rules told to them. 

    I hope you get to swap some items.  That said, also indulge in some desserts as there are some really great ones out there to enjoy!
