Can you use a dining plan table service credit when booking dining packages (e.g. Fantastic, Epcot festival events such as Garden Rocks or Candlelight Processional)?

    Greetings Audra!

When traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort, there truly is something for everyone. The magic goes well beyond the ride attractions, entertainment, and shows that can be found around almost every corner.

Fantasmic!, the spectacular nighttime show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios features incredible effects and some pretty epic music.

Over at EPCOT, you can find really fun festivals almost year-round. There’s always a reason to celebrate. The Garden Rocks Concert Series is where you will find yourself grooving to live music during the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. Let us not forget the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort and my personal favorite, the Candlelight Processional, a beautiful holiday tradition at EPCOT with celebrity narrators and all the festive feels. Don’t forget to grab your tissues since sometimes, the joy that radiates from these performances gets me a little misty-eyed.

Now, here's the catch – as you know, sometimes there are dining packages that can be reserved that will allow you to eat a tasty meal and then get a reserved seat to enjoy these events. As enticing as these dining packages sound, you'll have to use your regular payment method for them. Unfortunately, those dining plan credits won't work their magic here.

If you're planning to indulge in these events, just keep your dining plan credits for other delicious moments around the parks. I will let you in on a little secret, in my personal opinion if I had to choose which one of these Dining Packages was worth my out-of-pocket cost, it would be the Candlelight Processional. While the others do offer the convenience of a reserved seat, I don’t mind showing up a bit early for the shows to wait for a seat.

I hope you and your family have the most magical time!
