Hello Dayna!
Welcome to planDisney! I see you're gathering information for an upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort. Every great trip starts with some thoughtful planning, so without further ado, let's get to your question.
What a great question! I recently stayed at a
Walt Disney Good Neighbor Hotel myself, so I can share some personal insights. The advantages of staying at a Walt Disney Good Neighbor Hotel are substantial: you can book
Lightning Lane passes three days before each day of your vacation and enjoy
Early Theme Park Entry. These hotels are conveniently located. Mine was close to
Disney Springs, which made it easy to visit for the fantastic shopping and variety of dining options. While a shuttle was provided, it didn't run as frequently as I’d hoped, so I often used rideshares for added flexibility.
Only Guests staying at
Disney Resorts Collection hotels can add the
dining plans to their vacation. It truly adds an all-inclusive feel to your trip, I personally love the
Disney Dining Plan. This is one of many
wonderful benefits of staying on-site. By staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you also get to book your Lightning Lanes seven days prior to arrival for your entire trip, saving you early mornings and giving you the best chance to reserve popular attractions.
Complimentary transportation is a game-changer for my family and a huge deciding factor for us. The transportation options run continuously, so you're not left waiting and wasting precious vacation time. While rideshares are convenient, their costs can add up quickly.
I personally like to stay at
Disney's All-Star Sports Resort because it puts you right in the "Disney bubble" at a great price. My family and I stay there often. My boys love the larger-than-life theming, and I appreciate the value, because nothing makes a magical vacation better than some extra savings!
As a Florida resident, I drive down, and we also love that parking at Disney Resort hotels is complimentary. In contrast, Walt Disney Good Neighbor Hotels often charge nightly parking fees. I'd rather spend that money on food and merchandise! I highly encourage you to check out this resort. Be sure to watch for
special offers to get the best bang for your buck on your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Dayna, I hope this information helps, and, more importantly, I hope you have an incredible vacation! It was truly my pleasure to assist you today. Please come back and see me with any other questions. You've got a friend in me.
Your personal planning companion,
Michelle
