If you are on dining plan and have refill mug can you still get a drink with your quick service meal at your resort like pop century and not use refillable mug for that meal? Also could you possibly swap the drink for dessert on the plan?

    Hi Amanda!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Thank you for sending in this question.  Included with any Disney Dining Plan, you will receive a refillable resort mug which can be used for unlimited refills of select fountain drinks and hot drinks such as tea, coffee and hot chocolate.  You can make these refills at the beverage stations at any Disney Resort hotel.  It's easy to carry your refillable mugs with you as they are easily transportable with lids that twist to close, and because they have handles you could use a carabiner clip to attach them to a bag.  You can, of course, refill them at the water fountains or ask for a free cup of iced water at any Quick-Service location at the theme parks.

With each Quick-Service meal and Table-Service meal a drink is included, and this can be an alcoholic drink for guests of age 21 and over.  These drinks are totally separate from the refillable drinks available with your refillable mug.  The drinks provided with your Quick-Service meal are not refillable, but if you would like more than one drink with your meal (alcoholic or otherwise) you can, of course, pay for this.  You can always top-up your refillable mug and take it to your meal with you, and then request a bottle of water as your drink allowance with your dining plan, which you can take away with you.  It may be possible to swap the drink for a dessert, but it is completely down to the discretion of the restaurant or food location, but it's always worth asking.  At many places you could purchase a dessert using one of your Snack credits.

You will be allocated your total amount of credits at check-in (if you use online check-in, this will be from 7.00am on your arrival day) and you may use your credits up to midnight on your departure day.  It's easy to keep a track of your dining plan credit balance on your My Disney Experience app, or by asking your server at any restaurant.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort, and keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official news and updates on any events that may be happening during your stay.
