Is the dining plan really worth it?

    Hi Angelina,

This is a really difficult question to answer as the answer really depends on each individual travel party and their eating habits.

Personally, my family love the Disney Dining Plan. We find it to be super convenient and easy to use and also like the fact that as it is paid for upfront (aside from gratuities at most Table-Service dining locations) we do not have to worry about paying out of pocket for our meals when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort.

For us, the Table-Service meals in particular really do contribute towards our overall enjoyment each day. By reserving Character Meals, we reduce the amount of time that we need to spend in line at the parks to meet and greet certain characters and it is always nice to know that we have a scheduled time to eat (whilst also taking a break from the heat and crowds) during each day at the Theme Parks.

In order to work out if the Disney Dining Plan would be worth it for your travel party, I would recommend sitting down to think about how many Quick-Service meals, Table-Service meals and Snacks you envisage eating each day and estimating the value of these (using the menus on the Walt Disney World website as a guide price). Once you have an estimated ball-park figure, you can compare this against the cost of adding the Disney Dining Plan to your Magic Your Way Vacation Package.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
