Dining Plan question: our last ADR for the week is for LeCellier for dinner which is 2 credits. By this time we will only have 1 table credit remaining, how will that work? Can we just pay the difference out of pocket? Thanks!

    Hi Jennifer!

You'll need to follow a little bit of 'strategy' in order to use your Disney Dining Plan for Le Cellier on your last meal.

There is no way to 'split' your payment at a Signature Dining location to be 1/2 Dining Credit and 1/2 cash. What you'll need to do is to pay cash or resort room charge for one of your meals prior to your Le Cellier reservations, thus making sure that you have 2 credits remaining per person for your Le Cellier meal.

Take a look through your reservations and the menus for the dining locations and decide which location is best to pay for. Usually, it's an a la carte dining location that works best for you to pay for since you can order as you wish. For Character Dining or buffet meals where there is a set charge per person, you're best to use your Disney Dining Plan.

Once you've decided which meal you're going to pay for outside the Dining Plan, be sure to notate this in your personal itinerary so that you don't overlook it. Upon meeting your server at your table, advise that although you're on a Disney Dining Plan, you'd like to pay 'cash' for this particular meal. Nothing is swiped through your Disney Dining Plan until you present your card at the end of a meal, so don't worry about your Dining Plan being affected by the reservations you may have already made online.

Hope that helps you out Jennifer. If you have additional questions or would like assistance deciding which meal(s) you should or shouldn't put through the plan versus cash, please feel free to visit me again with more great questions!

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
