Greetings Anne, and welcome to planDisney!
Dining plans were a big hit with my extended family on previous trips. We loved being able to have our dining expenses paid for before our trip began, giving us one less thing to worry about. My cousins loved the fact that any credits we did not use got turned into a snack buffet for the flight home.
Anne, I wish I could use the force like Master Yoda and know when dining plans will return. But as Master Yoda says, “always difficult to see the future is.” I have searched my feelings and I cannot tell you the exact date they will return. Until then, I must rely on transmissions from the
Disney Parks Blog on when they will return. I suggest that you monitor their frequency for confirmation of when they are expected to return.
Until then, I have started budgeting for my next trip by purchasing
Disney Gift Cards and saving them. Disney Gift Cards are accepted at all table-service & most quick-service restaurants. You can check out their menus in advance to help with creating your budget. If you are a Guest of a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you can charge your meals to your room account with a MagicBand or
Disney MobileMagic Pass and pay off your daily balance with gift cards.
When making your dining budget, be sure to take a look at the
50th Anniversary Sips and Bites guide. You will not want to miss out on these special eats, treats, and drinks as you join in the World’s Most Magical Celebration.
Be sure to come back and visit us here at planDisney if you need any more help planning your magical vacation.
See ya real soon,
Andrea
