How much is dining plan per person

    Hi, Jo-Anne!

It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you to planDisney!  And now, we invite you to relax and let us pull up a chair, as we proudly present. . .your answer!

Jo-Anne, I love to dish on all things Disney dining, so I'm happy to share a bit more about dining plan options for your visit.  Currently, there are two dining plans to consider - the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan.  The Quick-Service option includes 2 Quick-Service meals and 1 snack per night of stay, while the Disney Dining Plan offers 1 Quick-Service meal, 1 Table-Service meal, and 1 snack per night of stay.  Both plans also include a Resort-Refillable Mug.  These are available to add to a vacation package reservation that includes your stay at a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection and your theme park tickets.

I've found the easiest way to determine the cost of your dining plan is to add it to your package.  If you are still planning your vacation, you'll find an option to add the dining plan as you are making your hotel reservation and purchasing your theme park tickets.  Already have a vacation package booked?  It's easy to check your dining plan pricing by navigating to My Plans on the Walt Disney World Resort website and selecting to modify your reservation.  This will open a window that shows your current reservation and options to change or add selections, like dining plans.  Don't worry - you'll be able to view the difference in your package pricing at the bottom of the page before saving changes!

When weighing whether or not to add the dining plan and/or which option to select, it's important to think about your vacation preferences.  We typically like having one Table-Service meal per day where we can sit down and take a break from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks, so for my family, the Disney Dining Plan would make the most sense.  Did you know that you can redeem one Table-Service credit per person at many character dining locations as well?  This can be a great way to maximize the value of the Disney Dining Plan!  Some of my favorite choices are Minnie's Beach Bash Breakfast at Cape May Cafe, Garden Grill Restaurant, and Tusker House Restaurant.

Speaking of value, don't forget that kids (ages 3 to 9) can get their dining plans for FREE when you book a vacation package for 2026 and add the dining plan for all Guests on the reservation.  If you're like me and traveling with a little Mouseketeer who is under the age of 3, they don't need a dining plan at all.  Children under 3 can dine for free at most buffets and family-style restaurants throughout the resorts and parks, regardless of whether or not you decide to add the dining plan to your reservation.  At other locations, they can either share meals with others, or you are welcome to order them a separate meal.

Jo-Anne, I hope this information has been helpful and that you have a wonderful time exploring the delicious dining options on your trip!  If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again!

    Bon Appétit!
