With the dining plan do I still pay for the meal and having the plan means it is discounted or with the plan are the meals now free of charge?

    Hi Mary,

Basically, if you add one of the Disney Dining Plans to your vacation package, you will receive a number of table-service meal entitlements, quick-service meal entitlements and snacks for each night of your package stay for all Guests ages 3 and over. (The amount will vary depending on which version of the Disney Dining Plan you decide to add)

When you eat at table-service restaurants and quick-service dining locations which participate in the Disney Dining Plan at Walt Disney World, you simply use these meal entitlements to pay for your meals.

Gratuities are not included unless otherwise indicated. An automatic 18% gratuity charge will be added to your bill for parties of 6 or more. An automatic gratuity charge may also be added to your bill for items you order that are not included in the Disney Dining Plan (for example, alcoholic beverages).

You can find out more information on How Disney Dining Plans Work on the Walt Disney World website.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
