Hello Donna!
Welcome to planDisney! Dining reservation day is a big event in my house. We plan for weeks figuring out which restaurants we want to visit and when we want to time them out. It really is now one of the most exciting parts of planning for our trip.
Dining reservations open up 60 days before the date you wish to book. However, for guests staying at a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel the booking window is not just 60 days before but also for the entire length of your stay for up to 10 days. This booking window doesn't appear until 6 am EST on the day you can start making bookings. Trust me, I have spent quite a bit of refreshing the screen to reveal all of the dates I can book. When it's time and if you are a Resort guest you will see the day-by-day option disappear and your entire stay opens up for reservations.
Now, let me suggest one of my new favorites. If you are looking to celebrate something special then
California Grill is now my go-to. My husband and I shared each of our dishes and all we kept saying was "wow!" as every bite was delicious and flavorful. It is located at the top of
Disney's Contemporary Resort and the view was just spectacular. Guests can enjoy the nightly fireworks over Magic Kingdom Park on the terrace as well. If your dining reservation is earlier than the show you can still return to see the show on the terrace. Bring your receipt from that day to the restaurant's check-in desk and they will let you take the elevator up. You don't have to miss out!
I hope you have a delicious time!
Happy Planning!
