Greetings Arlene! It's great to see you back here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so glad you've stopped by with another planning question.
As Walt Disney World
prepares to welcome Guests back home for its exciting reopening, new information is frequently being released about
cleaning enhancements and health guidelines so you can vacation with confidence. Recently, it was announced that Disney dining plans will not be offered during the reopening period, and existing Disney dining plans will be canceled and refunded. At this time there has not been a confirmed date of when Disney dining plans will be available again for booking, but I recommend keeping your eye on the
Dining: Know Before You Go website as well as the
Dining Plans Overview page for updates.
I know this is disappointing to Guests who spend months planning their perfect dining itinerary and enjoy the benefit of having meals paid for in advance. Nothing says Hakuna Matata like knowing that the bill is already taken care of before I sit down to dine! Arlene, when I am traveling without a Disney dining plan, I like to put the value of what I expect to spend on dining onto a
Disney Gift Card, or multiple Disney Gift Cards. I keep the cards in my resort room safe and charge everything using my
MagicBand. I visit the front desk at my resort to pay down the charges every few days with my Disney Gift Cards. If you are using
Mobile Order for quick-service dining, you are now able to use a Disney Gift Card or Disney Rewards Redemption Card right on the
My Disney Experience App!
As we move forward into the first phases of reopening the Most Magical Place on Earth, I recommend following the
Disney Parks Blog to keep up with new information as it is released. When you are ready to start planning your next adventure, we invite you to relax, pull up a chair, and stop by to see us again.
