Hello. With the dining plan, can kids order from the adult menu and get "kid sized" portions? My 5 and 7 yr old love ribs. I would feel guilty if my husband is able to order ribs and I have to give the boys the choice of mac n cheese or a burg

Hello Patty, thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel today!  I am a big fan of the Disney Dining Plan.  We use it each time we visit Walt Disney World.

Children on the Disney Dining Plan are required to order off of the Children's Menu when there is one available.  So, no, your children wont be able to order a smaller portion of an adult meal.  If your kids have adult sized tastes, I suggest looking into the all-you-care-to-enjoy meals at Walt Disney World.  At the buffets, kids can enjoy all of the same offerings that adults can.  Some of my favorites are dinner at 'Ohana, Cape May Cafe for breakfast or dinner and Tusker House for breakfast and lunch!  There are also some Quick Service locations that don't have a children's menu like at Casey's Corner in the Magic Kingdom.  At places like that, kids can order whatever they would like off of the menu.

If you have any other questions about the Disney Dining Plan, I'd love for you to come back and ask me. Have a great day!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
