With the dining plan, how can I find out what will be considered a “snack”? Is there a list somewhere?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jennie!

I love using the Disney Dining Plan when I'm on vacation at Walt Disney World Resort. It gives my family the flexibility to choose what we want to eat and when we want to eat it, and the best part about that is the snacking! When you're actually at a dining location looking at the menu, it's really easy to know which items qualify as a snack on the Dining Plan because they'll be clearly marked with the purple and white Dining Plan logo. It sounds like you and I have a lot in common and you want to do some advanced planning, so I'll give you a few tricks for figuring out in advance what qualifies as a Snack on the Dining Plan.

You can redeem Snack credits at most Quick-Service dining locations, at carts that sell treats like ice cream, popcorn, and pretzels, and at most merchandise locations too! For instance, if you have a look at the menu of one of my favorite places to eat at Epcot, Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in the France Pavilion, you'll see a large selection of desserts and pastries that are available for a snack credit. You can also use the My Disney Experience app to check out the menus of dining locations that participate in mobile ordering! Tap the snack icon when you're looking at a menu in the mobile ordering screen, and anything that is available for a snack credit will be labeled with "Qualifies as a Snack". That way, you can get a good idea of the kinds of things that you'll be able to enjoy.

    Have a magical day, Jennie!
