It we have the dining plan does everyone in the group have to use their dining points at every meal? I ask because at some restaurants I might just want a appetizer instead of a meal and use the points later?

    Hi Rhonda,

Some dining options like buffets and dinner shows are per person. For those, every person will need to pay out of pocket or use their Disney Dining Plan credits regardless of whether they choose to eat a full meal or not.

However, for some Table Service meals you can choose to pay cash for an appetizer or dessert and not eat a meal. I have done this before when on the Dining Plan (and saved my credits for another meal). You can check with your server. Simply inform him / her that you are on the Dining Plan but only 3 of you (for example) are eating a meal and using your credits and that you are going to be on a separate check for an appetizer. They will let you know if that option works or not.

    Have a wonderful vacation,
