Welcome to planDisney, Carolina! I'm so happy to be able to answer your question today. I'm glad you asked about the
Disney Dining Plan, because this question comes up a lot when people are traveling with large groups across a couple of rooms, just like you are. I've got some solutions for you, so let's jump right in and chat about it!
Disney Dining Plan meals and snacks are allocated by room, even if those rooms are all linked in
My Disney Experience or listed under the same Family & Friends list. So if you have two separate hotel reservations, the meals and snacks will be tied to each individual room and not pooled together. That means each room has its own pool of dining credits to use during your trip.
When you're using
Mobile Ordering in the
My Disney Experience app, you'll want to make sure that the person placing the order is linked to the room whose meals and snacks you'd like to use. You can absolutely place an order for the whole group and just use the dining plan from one room; it's totally allowed! Or, if you'd prefer to split it evenly between the two rooms, you can place two separate orders, each under a different guest associated with each room. It's completely up to you and how you want to manage it!
For Table Service restaurants, it works the same way. You can redeem meals from just one room to cover the table, or you can ask your server to split the check so you can use the dining plan from both rooms. The Cast Members are awesome and very used to this kind of setup, so just let them know how you'd like it handled when you sit down.
No matter which route you take, it's super flexible. If you're ever unsure, feel free to ask a Cast Member for help. They'll make sure you're good to go and that your meals are covered just the way you want them.
Happy dining, Carolina!
