Does the dining plan cover you the day you arrive and depart?

    Hi Nancy,

The dining plan gives you quite a bit of flexibility.  You are given credits based on the number of NIGHTS spent at your resort.  You can use them in any combination from the date of your arrival until midnight on the date of your departure.

For instance, if I were staying at a WDW resort from Friday to Monday, that would be a 3 night stay.  With the regular dining plan that would entitle me to 3 quick-service meals, 3 snacks, and 3 table-service meals during my stay.

If I were arriving Friday evening, I may only use 1 quick-service meal for that day.  I would still have leftover meals that I could use either on Monday, OR I may decide to take one of those credits and dine at a signature restaurant that uses 2 credits per meal.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
