Hi there, Jennifer, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you've stopped by with this great question about your upcoming vacation. From one Jennifer to another, I'm happy to help you plan for a magical visit!
Jennifer, I know you're hoping to get more information about purchasing a dining plan without a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation. At this time,
dining plans are only available to Guests who are staying at a Disney Resort hotel. It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of dining plans at Walt Disney World Resort, so I'd love to share with you about my experience, in case you think you might consider this type of vacation package in the future.
Dining plans are great because they make your vacation feel a little more all-inclusive. For my family, it helps us stay in the moment, because we know we've already taken care of the bill. There are two types of dining plans, and each gives a set number of meals and snacks per night of your Disney Resort stay. You can use these meals and snacks at any time during your visit, from the day you check in until midnight on the day you check out. You can use them all in one day, or spread them out. Each dining plan includes a resort refillable mug, which you can use for unlimited refills at your Resort Hotel for soda, coffee, and tea throughout your stay. Adults age 21 and over will enjoy having an alcoholic beverage included with each meal, where available. You might even find that there is a significant cost savings, based on where you dine and what you order!
The
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan includes two quick-service meals and one snack per night of stay. It's great for Guests who like to be spontaneous and flexible with their dining plans, since you don't need reservations for this type of dining experience. With tons of amazing quick-service restaurants throughout Walt Disney World Resort, you won't be disappointed by the amazing variety and quality of food and beverages you'll be able to get with this dining plan.
The
Disney Dining Plan includes one quick-service meal, one table service meal, and one snack per night of stay. This type of dining plan is actually my favorite because I really love having an
Advance Dining Reservation for a table service meal. It's a dedicated time for my family to be together out of the elements, so we can relax and recharge. Some of our best conversations happen around a table full of delicious food, and we love to recap our favorite Disney experiences as we eat.
Jennifer, this might be more information than you bargained for, and as you can see, I could go on all day about dining plans at Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any questions about where to find amazing meals and snacks, whether or not you use a dining plan, you have a friend in me! Please stop back by anytime!
Bon appetit!
Jennifer
