Hi Bert!
Thanks for your question. As an
Annual Passholder, I was curious about this, as well. Typically, to be eligible for a Disney Dining Plan, you must purchase a Magic Your Way Package. Two of the requirements of this package are that you stay at a
Disney Resort Hotel and that you purchase
Theme Park Tickets for the days you will be staying there. Since Passholders do not need Theme Park Tickets, they would not be eligible for the
Magic Your Way Package. I have also noticed that the Special Offers available to Passholders usually offer such great deals on Disney Resort Hotels, that seems to be the way to go. You might want to add up the different options--the Magic Your Way Package (remember to add in Theme Park Tickets) as opposed to using your Annual Passholder Discount and just paying for your meals out of pocket. For my family, I usually choose the second option. But you might feel differently after you look at the numbers.
I hope this answers your question. One thing is for sure--being an Annual Passholder is a fantastic way to enjoy Walt Disney World year round and receive some special perks that you otherwise would not get. I highly recommend it!
Thanks for stopping by. Please let us know if we can do anything else to help you. Here's wishing you a magical day!
