If you have a dining plan, it is allowed to pay the difference between your allotted amount and the actual total?

Hi, Cheri, it's great to see you back again today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You and your family must be so excited for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort.

The Disney Dining Plan is a super-flexible way to save time and money when you're on your family vacation. I see that this summer, you're planning on using the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, where each member of your party gets two Quick-Service meals and two Snacks for each night of your stay. Your Quick-Service meal credit gets you an entrée and a non-alcoholic beverage at a Quick-Service dining location, but if you'd like to order anything else on the menu and pay for it out of pocket, you're welcome to do that. My husband and I do this a lot when we use the Disney Dining Plan to eat at Table-Service restaurants. We're real foodies who want to try everything on offer at Walt Disney World Resort, so we use our Dining Plan entitlements to get an entrée and dessert, and we'll also order an appetizer and pay the difference.

If you're looking for somewhere to eat while you're at Magic Kingdom, be sure to try my favorite Quick-Service dining location: Columbia Harbour House. The second-floor dining room is a great quiet place to enjoy a delicious meal and recharge with your family for a few minutes.

    Have a magical day, Cheri!
