can you get a dining package if you are not staying on a Disney Resort

    Hi Donna,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We on the panel love helping guests to plan magical vacations!

A Disney Dining Plan is a convenient way to include your dining in your Walt Disney World vacation package. A Disney Dining Plan does need to be purchased as part of one of these vacation packages which include a Walt Disney World resort hotel stay, so no, you cannot purchase a Disney Dining Plan if you are staying outside of Walt Disney World resort.

I do encourage you to check out the Magic Your Way vacation packages that I linked above. There are many different resort hotels at Walt Disney World, perhaps you can find one that interests you! Also, if you do decide not to stay at a Walt Disney World resort hotel, you are still welcome to enjoy the many dining experiences at Walt Disney World without a Disney Dining Plan. Some of my family's favorites include the slightly exotic and always delicious Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen at Magic Kingdom for a relaxing table service lunch. For a quick-service meal, we have always enjoyed Sunshine Seasons at Epcot for their fresh fare.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Donna! Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
