We have the dining package for Fantasmic reserved at this time but aren't sure whether it is worth it because all of our table service meals for our dining plan are used up, so will be paying for this one on our own. Keep it or just use fast pass?

The biggest argument against canceling your Fantasmic Dining Package is the fact that if you use your one-and-only Tier 1 FastPass+ to get a reserved seat instead of using the reserved ticket you'll receive with your dining package, you will not have it for the more coveted Toy Story Midway or Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. Moreover, you will be locked out of making additional FP+ selections because you won't use your third FP+ until the end of the day at Fantasmic. (Once you've used your three advance FP+s, you can visit the FP+ kiosks in the parks to get more.)

In my opinion, even if you arrive with just 5 minutes to spare, you can still find a seat (albeit with a side view) of Fantasmic but if you don't have a FastPass+ for Toy Story Mania, you may have to wait in its standby line for over an hour to ride.

If you're on a budget, Mama Melrose's is the least-expensive and best value of the Fantasmic Dining Packages, especially if your crew all orders steak for their entree. But if you think you'll be full from all of your other dining plan meals and you don't wish to spend money on food outside your plan, I'd recommend simply getting to Fantasmic 40 minutes before showtime, cancelling your dining package and eating a counter service meal in the stands while you wait for the show, saving time, money and your Tier 1 FP+.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
