Hi Moms! Dining at 'Ohana on our trip in Sept. My friend is allergic to pineapple, and it's used a lot in teriyaki sauce. Can we find out what dishes contain pineapple? Can they make something special? Don't want her to miss out on the fun!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tiffany!

I think you and your friends will just love 'Ohana and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. With the fun resort theming, relaxing atmosphere and excellent food, it is one of my favorite places to spend an evening at Walt Disney World Resort! In my experiences accommodating my son's food allergies, the Walt Disney World Resort chefs have done an amazing job of making sure he has safe and tasty dining experiences and that he feels included at all of our meals. Based on the 'Ohana dinner menu, pineapple is definitely contained in the 'Ohana Pineapple-Coconut Bread starter, but may also be contained in other places on the menu. I recommend you contact the Special Dietary Requests team via email at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com so they can help you determine how your friend can be accommodated during dinner. Be sure to email them at least 14 days before you reservation so you have plenty of time to coordinate your meal.

If you get a chance while you are at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, take a trip to visit the awesome skippers at Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. I have had the pleasure of visiting a few times with friends and it is such a fun experience, but be sure to watch out for erupting VOLCANOOOOS!

    T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
