Hi Tricia,
Glad you stopped by today at the
Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Thanksgiving is a great time to visit since the whole Resort starts to get ready to celebrate the
Holiday Season.
Although we usually visit with my family during Christmas week, a few years ago we had a couple of opportunities to visit during Thanksgiving. The first year, we celebrated with a traditional Thanksgiving dinner served family style at
Liberty Tree Tavern, complete with turkey and all the trimmings. But the second year, we decided to celebrate with a little bit of fun at
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. Even though there was no turkey, the fried-chicken was to die for, and that strawberry shortcake at the end.
Details are not yet available for this year, but in the past there’s been few more restaurants that served a traditional Thanksgiving fare. For example, lunch or dinner with the Princesses at
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, or the fun atmosphere at
Biergarten Restaurant. Some of my favorite restaurants outside the Theme Parks, include
Whispering Canyon Cafe and
Olivia’s Cafe.
One last tip: be sure to make your
dining reservations right away, since these can be booked up to 180 days in advance. But if you cannot find a particular reservation, be sure to keep checking including up to the last minute. Many Guests change their plans so it’s not that difficult to find something. Happy planning!
Ricardo.
