Dining: Kosher Meals - Spoke with Dining, MK Tours, many other depts/cast members, no one can answer these questions. (Tours is still trying to find someone.) 1. What is the price of kosher meals? (Need for budgeting.)

    Heni-

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It is easy for my family to enjoy our magical vacation while ordering kosher food at Walt Disney World Resort. We have eaten pizza, hamburgers, corned beef, salmon, brisket, chicken nuggets, honey glazed chicken and salads. The cake and cookie desserts are scrumptious!

Our meals, both counter/quick-service and table service, were at Everything Pop at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Pizzafari and Yak and Yeti restaurants at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, ABC Commissary at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Cosmic Rays in the Magic Kingdom Park’s Tomorrowland.

I spoke with a Cast Member today and here are some things to know.

    1. Prices are subject to change at anytime yet are consistent across all dining venues. You should not pay more for a hamburger at your resort than for one at a theme park restaurant.

    2. Child and adult meals (breakfast or lunch/dinner) are available. According to my experience and the Cast Member at Everything Pop, a typical child’s meal will range from $5.99-$10.99 while an adult meal can be from $15.99-$25.99.

    3. You may order a kosher meal at most restaurants. Many Walt Disney World Resort table service restaurants offer kosher meals but will need time to defrost and prepare. Please call 407-WDW-DINE (939-3463) to make arrangements 48 hours in advance. Counter/Quick-service restaurants typically have a variety of meals ready to warm up that take about 20 minutes.

    4. The “Keeping Kosher at Walt Disney World” article at alleats.net has excellent information on kosher dining locations and the hechsher (kosher certification).

Please let me know if I can help you in the future.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories!
