For both dining and fast pass reservations, it says window opens at 7 am EST, which would mean 6 am CST in Texas. However, when I booked dining, I still had to wait till 7 am. Is it the same for fast passes? Does that mean those in EST are booking earlier?

Hello there, Sheena! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We appreciate you taking the time to reach out and allowing us to help you plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

Due to the large amount of Guests that visit Walt Disney World Resort from around the USA and from around the world, planning around time zones can get more than a bit confusing! As someone that moved from Georgia to Colorado, I personally have struggled with trying to understand how all of this impacts when I can make my reservations so, hopefully, I can assist you with making your own future reservations!

The time in which Guests are able to make their reservations is based on Eastern Standard Time. This means that regardless of where a Guest is located, they can begin making their FastPass+ reservations at 7:00 am EST. This is slightly different for dining reservations, though. Guests can begin making their dining reservation selections beginning 180 days prior to their arrival at 6:00 am EST online or through the My Disney Experience app or at 7:00 am EST by calling (407) WDW-DINE. So, this difference may have caused a bit of confusion during your previous reservation experience! However, all reservations are based on Eastern Standard Time so Guests should have a fair chance of making their reservations regardless of their specific time zone.

I hope this information assists you in planning for your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you!
