Hi Teresa!
When you arrive at Port Canaveral, you will immediately be in the holiday spirit with the festive decorations that fills Disney Cruise Line's spacious cruise terminal! Upon boarding, you will be in awe of the gorgeous Grand Atrium which will be sparkling with lights, greenery and a 20 ft. Christmas tree!
Special holiday events and activities will be sprinkled throughout your week-long sailing! Usually, there is a special tree lighting ceremony on the first night to kick off the festivities. If you enjoy Ginger Bread House making, you might want to stop by Guest Services after you board the ship to sign up for this limited space offering. Since you are sailing in December, Santa visits are included with character greetings and one night the characters will be decked out in their finest holiday attire! When you stop at Castaway Cay on the last day of your voyage, you will notice that the island looks a little different with island-style holiday decor! Be sure to check your Personal Navigator, the daily cruise newsletter, for all the special holiday events and character meet & greet opportunities!
Disney Cruise Line does offer special in-room decorations which will add that extra dose of pixie dust to your sailing! The options can be found in the
Gifts & Amenities section at
www.disneycruise.com. Currently, Halloween is being featured so I would check back after October 31st to see if the holiday selection is available. Also, don't forget to check the stores onboard for Disney Christmas items that make fantastic souvenirs of your holiday cruise!
Thanks so much for stopping by, Teresa!
