    So you are all about the dining at Disney? Me too! I look forward to trying out ALL of the eateries...eventually! What are some of your favorite restaurants? Often the same ones are mentioned, so anything off the beaten path would be great!

    Heather, I love a fellow dining adventurer!

    My philosophy is "It's just one meal!" And every time our family visits Disney World, we try out as many new restaurants as we do eating in our old standbys. I enjoy eating in the resort restaurants so that I can scout out other accommodations for future Disney trips. Here are a few hidden gems at the resorts:

    'Ohana at the Polynesian: My kids love not only the food brought to us on skewers by our waiter--or "cousin"--but also the floor games like the limbo and broom races. Best of all, it's on the monorail.

    Pepper Market at Coronado Springs: This is not your usual food court. Some of the food, like the fajitas at the mexican kiosk, sizzle on the grill while you wait. If you have a family who likes choices--and fresh offerings--I recommend it.

    Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge: Bring your appetite! The waiters' corny antics are a side dish to the all-you-can-eat skillet dinner of chicken, ribs, and bbq!

    Kimono's at the Swan: Looking for some "adult time," especially if you're vacationing with friends? Check out its sushi and karaoke. The sushi list is far more extensive than that of California Grill. (An impressive sushi offering is also at Tokyo Dining but it's located at Epcot.) But even if sushi is not your thing, order some spring rolls or fried tempura to accompany a fun evening. Like most Disney restaurants, the theming is spot-on, but if you have children, keep in mind it is still a bar.
