Ahoy there, Jaime!
Welcome back to planDisney! Planning ahead for your daughter’s appointment at the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and your dinner plans is a smart move, so let’s jump in and make sure you have a stress-free evening!
It looks like this may not be your daughter’s first time at the Boutique, so you may already know, but appointments typically take 60-90 minutes. To help everything go smoothly, it is recommended that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time so your daughter can work with Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices to pick out the package that is just right for her.
The good news is that your 4:45 PM appointment is followed by
a 5:45 PM dinner seating, so you have a little extra time built in. That said, I wouldn’t count on walking out of the Boutique at exactly 5:45 PM. Those Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices have some serious work to do, and once your daughter is transformed, you may need a few minutes for pictures before heading to dinner!
If possible, I recommend talking with
your server team the night before the appointment. While we wouldn’t want being late to become a habit, being around 15 minutes late is usually manageable for your team, but it can affect their flow and the entertainment, which is why it’s important to discuss it with them the night before. They can let you know what options you may have and help make the evening go as smoothly as possible.
For instance, my crew and I had a scheduled event that ran into our dinner time, so we talked with our servers and were able to place our order the night prior. That helped save them some time the night we were a little bit late. No guarantees, but it’s always worth asking and trying not to make their night any harder by showing up too late. Your dining team is juggling quite a few moving pieces, so giving them a heads-up lets everyone be prepared.
You may also try stopping by the Boutique on embarkation day. Your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app may be showing all appointments are booked now, but they may have a little bit earlier of an appointment if you check in with them on embarkation day. If you can move the appointment earlier, that would give you even more breathing room before dinner.
I hope this helps you plan a little wiggle room into your evening while still letting your daughter enjoy her royal transformation. Hopefully, the Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices work their magic right on schedule, leaving your crew plenty of time to make your way to dinner with your newly crowned princess!
Sea ya real soon as summer waves goodbye and autumn magic begins to shine,
Dustin
