Hi, Phyllis! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
In my opinion, there is nothing more magical than dining at
Cinderella's Royal Table. Add a viewing of the
Happily Ever After Fireworks to your dining experience, and you have quite an evening to remember!
I spoke with some of my fellow panelists about your question, Phyllis. Those of us who have had dinner in the various Walt Disney World restaurants where fireworks viewing is possible cannot recall the lighting being an issue or interfering with character interactions. When the lights are dimmed during the fireworks, the servers and characters move around very little for safety reasons. Happily Ever After is an 18-minute show, so it is a relatively short period of time in which the lights will be dimmed.
Every time I have experienced a meal at Cinderella's Royal Table, the princesses have had impeccable timing. They always make sure to visit with all of their guests and that everyone has a chance to take pictures to commemorate such a special occasion. I don't think you have any reason for concern. I know you and your nieces are going to have an amazing evening!
To add a little extra pixie-dust to this already enchanted experience, you may want to look into making reservations for your nieces to have princess make-overs at
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. I know this was something my own daughter loved doing when she was younger.
Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World vacation!
Samantha
