How much does dining cost per day for an adult at Disney World? Please advise how to navigate the dining when gluten free?

    Hi Jessica!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

One of the many great pleasures of visiting Walt Disney World is the amount of choice available for enjoying delicious food all around the Resort.  The Disney Resort hotels offer a great variety of restaurants, suitable for every taste, as does Disney Springs.  Dining at the theme parks provides even more options, whether you want to dine around World Showcase at Epcot, or enjoy a meal with the Disney Princesses inside Cinderella Castle, or would just prefer something quick and simple at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe at Magic Kingdom Park, or at Woody's Lunch Box at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  The best way to get an idea of gluten free options at the theme parks is to sign in to your My Disney Experience account.  Select 'Mobile Food Orders', then 'Create New Order'.  Remember you are just following this all the way through to research gluten free options, without actually placing an order.  You will see a list of theme park restaurants that offer mobile ordering. Click on any one, then select 'Order Food'.  Under 'Build Your Order' you will see a list of options - if 'Allergy-Friendly' is there, tap that, then tap 'Gluten/Wheat Allergy-Friendly'.  A whole selection of menu items will be displayed, including prices.  This will give you the opportunity to find all the restaurants that suit your taste and budget.  As a general guideline you might spend around $14.99 per adult at a Quick-Service restaurant (all prices are subject to change).  Table-Service restaurants are more costly, but there are many more affordable options too.  If you look at this comprehensive restaurant list, click on any restaurant and you can view the menu, and price list.  When making any dining reservations, please mention that you wish to have a gluten free option.  You can also discuss this with your server.  Dining reservations can be made online, or by using your My Disney Experience account, up to 180 days in advance.

I always use the Disney Dining Plan whenever I visit Walt Disney World, and you might find this useful for the value it offers. There are three Dining Plans to choose from, see full details here, and they all include a refillable drink mug which can be refilled at the beverage stations at all Disney Resort hotels, saving the cost of endless cups of coffee, tea and hot chocolate, and select fountain beverages.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World.
