We will be dining at Chef Mickeys at 6:50 PM on May 31 2010. We will be at A.K. that day. What time do we need to leave the park in order to arrive 20 min. before our reservation? Will the bus take us directly to the Contemp. resort.

    Hi Traci:

My family loves Chef Mickeys, and we never miss a visit on our Disney vacations.

Disney provides a direct bus from the Animal Kingdom park to the Contemporary Resort. I'm punctual, and I find that budgeting 45 minutes for Disney transportation generally gets me where I need to be on time. Since you want to arrive 20 minutes early, you may consider giving yourself an hour, just to play it safe. Chances are you'll arrive with time to spare. If that's the case, you can spend some time on the concourse level, where Chef Mickey's is located, browsing the variety of shops and admiring the spectacular Mary Blair mosaics adorning the concourse walls.

    Enjoy your vacation.
