    Hello! We are dining at Chef Mickey's the night we arrive, before we go to any of the parks. Can I purchase Disney autograph books at my resort (AOA) gift shop? So have them when we meet all the characters at dinner. Thanks!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    I love your first day plan - Chef Mickey's is one of our favorite character meals and is a great way to start your vacation! We have always been able to purchase our girls' autograph books from the resort hotel gift shop. Just pick them up on your way to dinner. At least twice, I have forgotten the autograph books in the room and had to buy them from a gift shop in a park or at another resort. If you somehow do not get them before you arrive at Disney's Contemporary Resort Hotel, their gift shop should have them also. We have actually purchased them from a gift shop near Chef Mickey's!

    Be sure to also purchase a larger pen. They are easier for some of the characters to grip. And, just in case, I always bring two pens. Remember to take a photo with each character. We have always experienced great interactions. On our recent visit in August, we dined at Chef Mickey's for breakfast and Minnie Mouse was so adorable. She loved my shirt and posed like a pro for the pictures. There is also a PhotoPass photo opportunity prior to the dining experience - this is one of my favorite family photos from each trip!
