    We are dining at the California Grill on Sat night at 5 pm with our 5 and 8 year old boys. We see that there is a dress code and wanted to know if golf shirts are acceptable as we will be coming directly from the MK? Also, flip flops yes or no? Thanks

    Hi there Tamara,

    California Grill is hands down my favorite restaurant in all of Walt Disney World.  The fresh menu selections and atmosphere make this dining experience a memorable one, not to mention the view that overlooks The Magic Kingdom and Cinderella Castle.

    There is a dress code enforced at California Grill, but it's pretty lenient.  You'll see guests wearing anything from sport coats and dress shirts to jeans and tees.  Flip flops are fine as well, but they just ask that you stay away from "tank tops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, hats for gentlemen, cut-offs, torn clothing and t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics."

    My husband has worn slacks and jacket and has also visited with a polo and jeans.  He has been comfortable either way... and he ALWAYS wears flip flops and no one has batted an eye.
