Hi! To dine at a restaurant, do you need tickets to the park the restaurant is in? (So for Be Our Guest do we need Magic Kingdom tickets?) We’re not sure how many days we’ll be at each park, but we do have the special restaurants we want to dine in.

    Hi Eileen,

Thanks for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Planning Advanced Dining Reservations are always my favourite step in planning a Walt Disney World Resort Vacation.  There are so many fantastic options it can be really hard to choose.

If you are choosing to dine at a location within a Theme Park, you will need a valid Theme Park Ticket to enter.  My family and I will typically choose the Park Hopper Option for this very reason.  With the Park Hopper, we are able to spend the day at one Theme Park and then enjoy dinner at another Theme Park if we choose.  This allows us more flexibility in our Dining Options, and keeps everyone in my family happy.

When planning, I would suggest starting with your Dining Reservations, if you know for sure there are certain restaurants that you really want to visit, plan those days first and then look at other options for the rest of your days.  This way, you can cut down your travel to and from Dining Locations as well as make sure you fit everything on your wish list in.

I hope you have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort, Eileen.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help.
