Ahoy Tresa!
A Disney cruise is on your horizon...bravo! Get ready to experience
all the Disney magic at sea. I can SEA why you are excited about all the details of your upcoming voyage.
Sounds like you were a big fan of Disney Cruise Line’s Dine and Play feature. Me too! Offered during the Second Seating for
rotational dining, younger kids ages 3-12 could have their meal expedited so they could then leave early with the Youth Counselors to go join the fun in
Disney’s Oceaneer Club and
Disney’s Oceaneer Lab. Let me tell you, my kids practically leaped from their chairs when the counselors showed up in the dining room!
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the Dine and Play program has been temporarily paused, and there’s no word right now when this will resume. I would like to think that it will be back in time for your November cruise, but for now, I can’t make any promises. I’m in the same boat as you are, eagerly watching and waiting for updates on my scheduled December cruise. I would suggest checking the
Know Before You Go page to see any new information on what will be offered while onboard.
While some tweaks are having to be made by Captain Mickey in cruise activities and entertainment, what I am hearing is that the overall experience has been consistently Disney thus far. So far, many opportunities like surprise character appearances (they are literally everywhere onboard and ashore) and the new fireworks show “Happily Ever After” have been welcome changes. So if you go in embracing the new, you will have a better outlook on your overall cruise experience.
Sending you pixie dust that you and your family have a phenomenal voyage. Cruise back to planDisney for help with the planning process as you countdown the days until your adventure at sea!
Happy Sailing!
