Can we dine at Park Fare without the characters for breakfast were an older couple

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Loretta! I'm glad you stopped by.

Thanks for posting your question about 1900 Park Fare. While I love dining with Disney characters, I completely understand your desire to have a breakfast that is a little more low key and character-free. The Supercalifragilistic Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare always has Disney characters present. However, it is totally acceptable to let the host or hostess who seats you know that you're not really interested in interacting with the characters on the morning that you dine there. The characters will just move on to the guests at the next table.

Could I make an alternative suggestion? The Grand Floridian Cafe is right beside 1900 Park Fare on the first floor of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. It is one of my parents' favorite restaurants any time of day. I had breakfast there one morning as I was trying to get work done and it was peaceful, elegant and charming. Their Lobster Benedict is so good. This may just become one of your new favorite restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort.

Don't forget that advance dining reservations are always a good idea at table service restaurants like 1900 Park Fare or The Grand Floridian Cafe. Just call (407) WDW-DINE, or (407) 939-3463, up to 180 days in advance of your vacation.

    Best wishes and bon appétit,
    Jill
