Robert from FALKIRK Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Has the dine with an imagineer came back since COVID? Is there any other options to meet imagineers at WDW?

Hello there, Robert! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by with such an amazing question. I have to say, this is something that has been on my Disney wish list for years too, so I completely understand your curiosity about it.

The Dine with an Imagineer experience used to be one of those truly unique opportunities at Walt Disney World Resort. Guests could sit down for a meal and hear stories directly from the creative minds who help bring Disney magic to life. It was such a special chance to go behind the curtain and connect with the people who dream, design, and build the magic we all love.

As of right now, though, this experience has not returned since the parks reopened after COVID closures, and unfortunately there hasn't been any official word on whether or not it will ever come back. I wish I had better news to share, because I know how many Guests (myself included!) would jump at the chance to do this again.

You also asked if there are any other similar options available, and while there are so many incredible Enchanting Extras to choose from, like behind-the-scenes tours, specialty dining, and unique animal encounters, there isn't currently anything else that offers quite the same opportunity to spend time with an Imagineer in an intimate, conversational setting.

My best advice would be to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and the Walt Disney World website, since those are the places where any announcement about this experience returning would be made. Disney is always evolving and finding new ways to bring magic to Guests, so you just never know what might be around the corner.

Robert, I know this may not have been the answer you were hoping for, but I hope it helps give you some clarity. And if you'd like, I'd be happy to recommend a few other tours and experiences that do give you that "behind-the-scenes" feeling, even if they aren't quite the same as Dine with an Imagineer was. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach back out to us here at planDisney!

    Warm hugs,

    Ana Paula
